Under Windows XP, if you generally want to see the memory occupied by a certain software or system component, you can basically check it by viewing system processes from Task Manager. But if you want to see the virtual memory occupied by a certain software or system component, it is not easy to check. You must use software to check it.
If you are using a Windows 7 system, then there is a very simple way to easily check the virtual memory occupied by software or system components without using software.
First, we press the Ctrl+Shift+Esc key combination and enter Task Manager → Process → View → Select Column, as shown in Figures 1 and 2

In Figure 2, we have ticked Memory - Commit Size. Click OK.
When I checked the task manager again, I found an extra line of "Submit Size". This line is the size of the virtual memory occupied by the software, which is clear at a glance.
