Although many friends have already installed Windows 7, but do not want to give up the original system, installing dual systems has become the choice of many people. However, there is a problem, that is, the system startup sequence. After Windows 7 is successfully installed, it will set itself as the default startup. So how to set the previous Windows version as the startup default item? Here's how.
After starting the computer and entering Windows 7, right-click the "Computer" icon, select "Properties" in the pop-up shortcut menu, enter the "System" option, and then click "Advanced System Settings" on the left to pop up "System Properties" " dialog box, then click the "Advanced" tab, click "Settings" in the "Startup and Recovery" group, the "Startup and Recovery" dialog box will pop up, click the "Default Operating System" item of the "System Startup" tab In the drop-down list, two startup items appeared - "Earlier versions of Windows" and "Windows 7". I selected "Earlier versions of Windows".
In addition, the default time for displaying "Windows Startup Manager" is 30 seconds. If you think it is too long, check "Display recovery options when needed" and change the time to 5 seconds. Click "OK" to return to the "System Properties" dialog box, click "OK" again, and click the Close button in the upper right corner to exit the settings. After restarting, the default option will be the earlier version of Windows.
Tip: The system startup sequence set in earlier versions of Windows is invalid. You must log in to Windows 7 and modify it in Windows 7.
