Add programs to media center
In the MCE settings window, open the first icon in the window, enter the title in the program information settings, click the icon on the right in the thumbnail item, select a suitable icon, and then click Browse in the program path button to find the path of the program. After the settings are completed, click the Add button to add the Media Center program to the main menu.
Provide shortcuts and cleanup privacy for media center
In the settings window of MCE, select the Shortcuts and Clean Privacy tabs. In the shortcut settings, click the drop-down menu of Create a shortcut for XX and choose from the 6 options. Here, choose the fifth option. In the same way, when cleaning MCE information settings, we press every button to save space.
Add more formats to media center
In Media Center, there are still a few supported playback formats. For example, Real formats, such as cartoons and TV series, are usually in Rmvb format. This format is not supported by Media Player. Let’s see how I operate it. . Or select the video format support tab in the MCE setting tool. In the extension to be supported, enter the suffix of the Real playback format, such as Rm, Rmvb, and click the Add button.
PS: If the video cannot be played, it is usually caused by not installing a codec such as Real. You can download the official version of Windows 7 Codecs 2.2.8. When the installation process reaches the window shown in Figure 10, it is recommended that you select the first One item, in this case the Real format can be played in the media center.
Remove unnecessary functions from Group Media Center
The author has a problem when using the media center. For users without a TV card, the recorded TV function will not work. At this time, we can turn it off.
In the Mce settings window, select the Channels and Start menu tabs, check Hide TV items only, click the Apply button, and restart Windows Media Center to take effect with the new settings.
In addition, we can also open the Settings/Start menu and Add-on Programs/Add-on Library in the main interface of the Media Center. We see the window. Here, uncheck Burn CD/DVD and click the Save button.
