I have nothing to do recently, so I am working on a picture website. Today I will share my experience in making a picture website. The main sharing includes domain names, space, programs, etc. As for optimization, I dare not talk too much because there is no beautiful report card. It took a month to build the website, and it only has about 500 IPs and 20,000 PV, so I don’t dare to talk too much about SEO, but maybe about user experience.
Let’s talk about domain names first. If you just build a photo site and plan to do it for two to three months, or half a year, and you don’t plan to do it for a long time, that’s okay. Originally, I wanted to make a good picture website and continue to do so. So I spent some time choosing a domain name. After much picking and choosing, I finally chose mmgege.com. The original intention was that the pictures were all my sister’s and the ones I saw were all my brother’s, so I got this domain name. But now it doesn’t look optimistic, because many online names are also called mmgege, or some people asking for help often ask which mmgege (sister and brother) can help me. Now when I search on GG, my website cannot be found at all. It’s not that GG doesn’t include it, but because there are too many reasons mentioned above. From here, I have some experience. When choosing a domain name, you must make it original and easy to remember, so that your website can be found by direct search. Although no one may search at the beginning, as the number of website users increases, there will continue to be repeat customers.
Next, let’s talk about the program. I use the DEDE program because I am more familiar with this program. In fact, the thief program is not bad, because the picture site cannot have as many originals as A5, Outdated, CHINAZ, etc. The ultimate goal is to show it to viewers and be searched by search engines. In fact, for the program, those are characters and data. That being said, I put together a set of templates myself. I can understand HTML, CSS, and PHP, so I picked two that seemed to match the color and style to integrate them. If you also want to make a picture website, but don’t know how to do these things, it is recommended to find a template that is compatible with all browsers and just use it directly. Don’t spend time on templates and programs. As for the space of the picture station, I still need to choose a better one, because my picture station has high-definition pictures and is relatively large. If the space speed is not good and the loading speed is slow, no one will wait, so the traffic will be lost in vain.
Finally, let me talk about the content, which is also a headache for me. At first I saved them locally one by one and then uploaded them. I suggested doing the same thing at first. New content is always more popular with spiders. At the beginning, I was not in a hurry. I published one or two photo albums every day and gradually collected them. When I published more than 20 pictures, I slowly updated the snapshots. I occasionally made external links, went to forums, and posted on my blog. Links attract spiders. You can also submit it to search engines. I haven't submitted it yet, waiting for natural inclusion. What bothers me most now is that there are no high-definition and high-quality watermark-free pictures, so I can only use the watermark removal tool. This tool is very easy to use at the moment. It will make modifications based on the surrounding picture environment, and it is basically invisible. I have collected it before, but that high-quality resource uses JS paging, and I can only modify the collection program by myself. In this next tutorial, I will tell you how to modify it.
To sum up the above three points, the domain name must be unique, easy to remember and original. If you don’t know much about the program, it is recommended not to spend too much time, because what you show to the viewer is only data, just characters, and even pictures are just characters. In terms of composition, in terms of content, since we are a personal photo site, it is impossible to have model resources, but it is still recommended to update manually at the beginning. In the middle and later stages, even if it is collected, some modifications must be made. In addition, external links are indispensable, so I will share it here this time. Next time let’s talk about the user experience of the photo exhibition. I hope to meet some experts who are good at making picture websites, and I am also very happy to help newbies.
