Today we are going to learn how to colorize black and white pictures using Photoshop’s duotone mode.
Original picture
final renderings
1. Open the original image and click Image - Mode - Duotone. (If the picture is in RGB mode, it must be converted to grayscale first.)
2. Open the dual tone option. The default is single tone. We can select the required N tone in the type.
3. Here we choose 4 shades.
4. Click in the color picker box behind Ink 1, and the color picker will appear to select the color we want.
5. If you need more colors, you can click: Color Library to select colors. Follow your own feelings and select a few colors to see the effect of PP.
6. If you are not satisfied with the current tone, you can adjust it through the curve in front of the color picking box. Click the curve box and a two-tone curve will appear, similar to the RGB lower curve adjustment method.
7. Adjust until you are satisfied.
8. Ink 1 defaults to black. If you define a color yourself, an error dialog box will appear when you click "OK". At this time, you must choose a name.
9. Specify a name, then click "OK" to save and exit normally.
10. This is the final rendering after completion.
