The special metal texture and gloss of stainless steel have attracted the attention of artists, and are processed into pieces of arts and crafts. In this example, we use Photoshop to create a stainless steel maple leaf.
Production tool: Photoshop CS, the steps for other versions are similar.
Production process:
1. Create a new file in Photoshop, then create a new layer "Layer 1", press the D key to restore the foreground and background colors to the default black and white, and select "Filter" in the menu bar Use the "Render" "Clouds" command to get the effect as shown in Figure 01.
2. Select the "Filter", "Blur" and "Gaussian Blur" commands in the menu bar, set the radius to 50 in the pop-up dialog box, and get the effect as shown in Figure 02.
3. Select the "Filter", "Noise" and "Add Noise" commands in the menu bar, and the dialog box that pops up is shown in Figure 03.
4. Select the "Filter", "Blur" and "Radial Blur" commands in the menu bar, and the dialog box that pops up is shown in Figure 05.
5. Select the "Filter", "Sharpen" and "USM Sharpen" commands in the menu bar, and the dialog box that pops up is shown in Figure 07.
6. Click the "Add Layer Style" button, select the "Gradient Overlay" command in the pop-up drop-down list, and set the pop-up dialog box as shown in Figure 09.
7. Select the "Custom Shape Tool" in the toolbox and draw a path in the screen, as shown in Figure 12.
8. Press Ctrl+Enter to convert the path into a selection, click the "Add Layer Mask" button, and get the effect as shown in Figure 14.
9. Click the "Create New Fill or Adjustment Layer" button, select the "Curves" command in the pop-up drop-down list, and set the pop-up dialog box as shown in Figure 15-17.
10. Select layer 1, press Ctrl key to click Curve 1 to select and load it, press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+E keys to execute the "Stamp Visible Layer" command to get a new layer, named Figure Layer 2.
11. Hide layer 1 and curve 1. Press the Ctrl key and click the layer thumbnail of "Layer 2" to load the selection, select the move tool, press the Alt key and press the up arrow key 12 times continuously. The effect is shown in Figure 18.
12. Select layer 2, click the "Add Layer Style" button, select the "Gradient Overlay" command in the pop-up drop-down list, and set the pop-up dialog box as shown in Figure 19.
