AirPods Pro is one of the most powerful in-ear headphones launched by Apple, and now the rendering of AirPods Pro 2 has been exposed. So what changes and upgrades does the second generation have compared to the first generation? Let’s take a look at the relevant content together.
[AirPods Pro 2 has little difference in overall appearance, but its functions have been greatly upgraded]
According to the news from I Love Audio Network, the overall appearance design of Apple’s second-generation AirPods Pro is basically the same as AirPods 3, including the microphone opening, sound cavity tuning hole, etc. The core processor is a newly upgraded H1 chip, which has better energy consumption, stronger noise reduction capability, and supports adaptive noise reduction function. Its acoustic configuration is the same as AirPods 3, which is a combination of customized high-amplitude driver units and high dynamic range amplifiers. In addition, AirPods Pro 2 is also equipped with a heart rate detection sensor that supports heart rate monitoring function and temperature detection, but it is not sure whether the temperature detection function will be available.
The charging box has three main upgrade points. First, on the right side of Figure 3, a microphone pickup hole is added for the hearing aid/auxiliary listening function. After the microphone picks up the sound, it can be transmitted to the earphones for sound enhancement. Secondly, a speaker sound hole is added at the bottom, making it easier to use the search function to find the charging box. Third, the charging interface has been changed from Lightning to USB-C. This is different from previous revelations. I hope it will be USB-C.
According to previous revelations, AirPods Pro 2 should also support Apple’s lossless audio (ALAC) playback.
