We use Photoshop layer operations to make the tones of photos richer, more artistic and visually impactful in just a few simple steps.
Original image.
First, open the original image in Photoshop, press Ctrl+J to copy a layer, and then adjust the brightness/contrast as follows.
Then duplicate this layer, then press Ctrl+Shift+U to remove the color, then change the layer mode of this layer to "Overlay" and adjust the opacity to 60%.
Now create a new layer and use a large soft brush to refine the edges of the photo to make it darker and create a strong contrast. At the same time, change the layer mode to "Overlay" and the opacity to 50%. The effect is as follows .
Create another layer in the same way, use a large brush with a soft angle and the color is black, refine the lower left corner of the picture to make it darker, and set the layer mode of this layer to Multiply, the effect is as follows.
Create another layer, fill it with black, change the mode to "Color", and set the opacity to 30%. The effect is as follows.
In order to make the color of the waves a little green, I found a picture from the Internet to achieve it. The picture is as follows.
Place the above image on the top layer, set the mode to "Color Burn", and adjust the opacity to 20%. The effect is as follows.
