This article uses Photoshop to draw an exquisite MSN transparent crystal icon tutorial. The effect is very good and it is worth a try.
Let’s take a look at the renderings first:
1. Create a new 130x130 document in Photsohop, 72px
2. Draw a circle for the head and fill it with color #78B00A; as shown below
3. Copy the first layer, ctrl+t to free transform, set the height and width to 95%; set the gradient color, as shown below:
Then set the layer style; as shown below:
Draw a radial gradient, as shown below:
4. Create a new layer and draw the following picture with a pen:
Set gradient color,
Gradient fill, as shown below;
5. Create a new layer, continue to outline with a pen, and make highlights; as shown below:
Set the gradient color as shown below:
then fill,
6. Create a new layer and outline it with a pen, as shown below:
Set gradient color;
Draw a gradient as shown below;
7. Create a new layer and reflect light to create the effect as shown below;
8. To make the body, go back to the bottom and create a new layer, and draw the outline with a pen;
Fill color; (do not deselect)
9. Create a new layer, select -> Shrink 1px; then fill it with the color as shown below;
10. Create a new layer, press ctrl+g to combine with the lower layer, use a pen to draw the following picture, ctrl+enter to turn into a selection; then feather 5px; then fill with color, do not cancel the selection.
As shown below:
11. Create a new layer, combine ctrl+g with the lower layer, select -》Shrink 2px; set the gradient color;
Pull out the following picture:
12. Create a new layer and use a pen to outline the effect as shown below;
Convert to a selection, adjust the gradient color, and get the following effect:
13. Create a new layer and continue to draw the following picture with a pen.
Convert to a selection and pull out the effect as shown below;
14. Make the following reflected light on the head and adjust it slightly; as shown below:
15. Use the pen to outline the hand, as shown below:
Convert to a selection and fill with color (do not cancel the selection), as shown below:
Shrink 1px, create a new layer, and fill it with yellow, as shown below:
16. Use the smudge, dodge, and blur tools to make the following picture;
17. Create a new layer and draw the following picture with a pen:
Convert to a selection and make the gradient as shown below;
Create a new layer, select -> Shrink 1px; fill with the radial gradient color as shown below;
Create a new layer, use outline and convert it to a selection to create the following effect:
18. Create a new layer to the bottom of the picture, and use a pen to outline the picture below;
Convert it to a selection and fill it with #78B00A; as shown below:
Create a new layer, select -> Shrink 1px; Fill #F0FC00;
Create a new one, go to Select->Shrink 1px, and set the gradient color, as shown below:
Draw a radial gradient, as shown below;
19. Shaded part:
Draw an ellipse and feather it 5px;
Then set the gradient as shown below:
Pull a radial gradient;
