Photoshop light and shadow performance adds artistic effect to photos

There are many kinds of light and shadow production in Photoshop, and the production methods are also different. Below we briefly introduce several methods of expressing conventional light and shadow effects, and we will explain them in detail later when we have the opportunity.

1. Side light makes the picture more dynamic

Side light is generally used a lot in indoor photo processing. It can make up for the lack of indoor light. Using light to increase the brightness of the picture is much better than directly increasing the brightness. It can make the picture more dynamic (Figure 1, Figure 2)

Production method: Add a new layer in the layer panel, then use the selection tool to select the light route, then fill it with white, and select the "overlay" mode (or "bright light" mode, depending on the mode in the layer panel). Screen needs to be selected). Use an eraser on the edges to create a soft edge effect.

2. Shadows make the picture more realistic

Shadows are another way of expressing light. It is made according to the direction of light to make the three-dimensional effect of the picture stronger, and is often used in composite photos (Figure 3).

Production method: First use the selection tool to select the outline of the main body, then add a new layer, fill it with black, use the adjustment tool (shortcut key "Ctrl+T") to adjust the position and size, and adjust the layer transparency in the layer panel to About 40% (the size is set according to the picture effect).

3. Emit light to make the picture more magical

Radiated light is a kind of light expression in special scenes, especially used to express some spectacular and magical scenes (Figure 4)
