The gradient function in Photoshop can replace these expensive and need-to-replace camera lenses. You can easily change the color of your photos while sitting in front of the computer.
Some photos with special color rendering are often taken using lenses that specifically filter and change light, such as gradient gray, gradient sunset, and gradient blue lenses. There are nearly a hundred types of these lenses. Think about it, when facing beautiful scenery, it would be troublesome to change the suitable lenses in a hurry. Let's do it in post-processing.
Technical point in this issue: Application of Photoshop gradient filter
I opened a photo of the seaside scenery in the evening. Due to weather conditions, I was unable to capture the ideal dusk. Photos are too ordinary and lack layers. Using filters can change this situation.

1: First create a new layer.
2. Select the Gradient Tool.

3. Open the Gradient Tool Library.
Figure 3
After opening the gradient tool library, you will find different gradient methods for various colors. We can choose different color filter lenses according to the actual situation. The five options on the right side of the column header are the gradient methods, which respectively represent: linear gradient, radial gradient, angle gradient, symmetrical gradient, and diamond gradient. You can try each one to familiarize yourself with its effects.
4. Application.
If you want to create a sunset atmosphere, create an orange gradient.

5. Select "Multiply" in the layer bar.

6. Now, a colorful sunset picture with special effects is completed. Compared with the effect of using a filter, it is not bad.

By analogy, the effects of blue ocean and sky are not to mention.

Technology extension
In different situations, you can use filters of different colors, and at the same time, you can adjust and change the color of the gradient filter according to your own preferences. However, the colors in the gradient library may not necessarily be satisfactory after all. We can also create the gradient effect we want ourselves.
1. This is a photo with relatively bland light and levels.

2. Create a new layer as well.

3. Select the gradient tool and click directly inside the gradient box.

4. A new window pops up. In addition to the preset gradient library, there are also gradient methods and a gradient editor that you can adjust yourself.

5. Double-click the small arrow on the color slider and the color picker will appear, then select the color you want.
Because this is the seaside, we chose blue to enhance the color of the sky, while leaving the color of the sea unchanged.

6. Here, a special reminder is that when adjusting the gradient, you can adjust it from top to bottom or from bottom to top, including pulling it left and right. The position from which the action starts directly determines the effect of the gradient.
After choosing the color and gradient you want. Let's see it in action.

7. There is a clear difference between the picture and the beginning, but this is not the last step because the color is not natural yet.
Select Multiply again and adjust the layer transparency.
