1. Create a new image in Photoshop , select the Gradient Tool, and set it as shown below. Note that the mode must be selected as "Difference".
-
2. Pull the gradient bar in the image with any direction and length. After several times, it will form an effect similar to the picture on the left below. Then use [Filter_Stylize_Find Edges] to create the effect as shown on the right below. Create a new layer and repeat all the steps just now.
3. Change the blending mode of the upper layer to "Overlay". The effect is as shown below.
Execute [Image_Adjustment_Levels] on it and move the gray arrow of the midtones to the far right.
4. Create a gradient mapping adjustment layer and set the gradient to black, red, yellow and white. The effect obtained is similar to the picture on the left. You can turn on "Reverse" in the gradient map to get the effect shown on the right below.
Summary: Different from the usual cloud filter or halo filter, the material is created through the difference blending mode of the gradient tool. It is also different from the usual use of color adjustment commands to colorize grayscale images, but through gradient mapping and using different colors on different grayscales to specify.
