This tutorial introduces how to make a crystal globe. The idea is similar to the method of making a crystal sphere. First, make a transparent crystal sphere, and then add the earth. Pay attention to the overall light perception!
final effect
1. Create a new layer, fill the background with black, and then draw a light green circle. The effect is as follows
2. Set the layer style of this layer, set an inner shadow, dark green, 90 degrees, the distance may be 100, and the size may be 170 [The values may be wrong because the image size has been changed, so you must try it yourself. Change it, it depends on the actual effect, don’t copy the value] There is also a little relief effect, the size is about 30, softening [Is that what it says in Chinese? ] Around 10, Angle -100 and 30, change white to linear dodge, transparency 10, and black transparency to 0
3. Create a new layer and draw an ellipse
4. Adjust the fill transparency of this layer to 0 [I’m verbose: Is it called fill transparency? My English version, I don’t know how to say it in Chinese. Anyway, check the transparency of the different layers. Set a gradient from bottom to top from white to transparent in the layer style. Adjust the transparency. The value is around 5. Just a slightly faint white gradient will do.
5. [I hid the gradient layer just now so that the diagram would not be too colorful] Create a new layer and draw a white bend like this. Part of the edge is a little transparent, so just use whatever method you like to make it transparent.
6. Adjust the fill transparency of this layer to 0, inner shadow, angle -120, white or light green, mode to normal, transparency to 50-60, distance and size, well, maybe a dozen or 20, give it a try Bar
7. [I hide the layer again] Create a new layer and draw a bend like this. The rest is the same as step 5.
8. Same as step 6, but it seems that the bright part is on the right, so the angle may be 0? Or 30 degrees? You also need to adjust the distance and try it out to find the appropriate size.
9. [I hid the layer again] Draw an ellipse with blurred edges like this
10. Similar to step 4, lower the layer fill transparency to 20, and set a top-down light white gradient in the layer style.
11. Display all the painted layers for a look.
12. Create a new layer and draw 3 bright lights. The bright light at the bottom should be large, blurry and transparent.
13. Find a map, just type in the fifth to last character in the webding font. [Actually, I entered the symbol in Word, entered the character and then copied it to PS] Note that the layer of this map should be under all the highlight and reflective layers that were just drawn.
14. Rasterize the layer and delete the part outside the circle. The white seems too bright, so change it to light green and draw a white border inside. Well, it still looks flat...so the next step is to add a shadow.
15. [In order to explain clearly, I have hidden everything. There is actually no white background, it is transparent] Create a new layer, draw a circle as big as the previous one, adjust the layer fill transparency to 0, and set the inner shadow Green, the angle is -120 degrees, the size depends on the adjustment, it is estimated to be dozens, the distance is about ten to dozens, it must be smaller than the size value, the transparency of the shadow depends on the green depth you set, and then adjust it
16. Create a new layer below the green shadow layer made in step 15, and merge the two layers. Then just select the map part and delete the rest.
17. Stack it on top of the map layer and adjust the transparency etc.
18. In order to show that the crystal earth is transparent, you have to draw Australia or something on the opposite side of the ball. Place it under the big map layer and make it more transparent. It would be better to have a gradient.
19.Finally add some shadow to complete the final effect.
