1. Create a new file of 600 * 350 pixels, fill the background with dark red, and then add text. The effect is as shown in Figure 1.

2. Delete the text layer, select the gradient tool, and set the color as shown in Figure 2. Press Ctrl and click on the layer to bring up the text selection, and draw a linear gradient as shown in Figure 3.

3. Double-click the layer to bring up the layer style. The parameter settings are as shown in Figure 4-7, and the effect is as shown in Figure 8.

4. Press Ctrl to click on the layer to bring up the text selection, select the menu: Select > Modify > Shrink, the value is 5, press Ctrl + Alt + D to feather the value to 5, then create a new layer and fill it with white, the effect is as shown in Figure 9.
