During the long night, I suddenly had an idea to draw a hummingbird. I write down my experience for newbies like me to learn from.
I dare not call it a tutorial, but write down some things that need attention. Drawing this requires patience and mastery of each line. I feel that using PS to do this is much faster than AI.
1. Select the style of the brush and check the pen pressure. The thickness of the pen is determined by the thickness of the line to be drawn, there is no fixed number; choose a sharp-angled brush for the bird's body frame, and a soft-angled brush for the feathers.
2. Let’s talk about the techniques of drawing a bird’s beak separately. Be sure to remember that each line is layered! ! ! Convenient for later modification.
The first step is to create a path
In the second step, use the brush to stroke and apply pressure to achieve the pointy effect at both ends.
The third step is to create a new layer and outline the second line of the beak. The technique of dragging the path makes the tip of the mouth not move and the fork of the mouth move. Hold down CTRL, click and drag the lower anchor point left and right.
The fourth step is to delete the path and see the approximate effect.
The fifth step is to link the two layers of the beak, CTRL+T to transform, hold down shift to stretch and rotate to the appropriate angle.
Step 6: Create the final shape
