This tutorial introduces how to colorize lilac style photos. When grading, you basically set the base color in Lab mode, and then refine the overall color in RGB color. You can also adjust the various colors to your liking.

1. Open the original image material, select the menu: Image > Mode > Lab Color, then create a curve adjustment layer and adjust the a and b channels. The parameter settings are as shown in Figure 1 and 2, and the effect is as shown in Figure 3.

2. Create a hue/saturation adjustment layer and adjust red and magenta. The parameter settings are as shown in Figure 4 and 5, and the effect is as shown in Figure 6.

3. Select the menu: Image > Mode > RGB Color, select Merge, and then press Ctrl + J to duplicate the background layer. Execute: Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur, the value is 4, and hold down the Alt key after confirmation. Apply the layer mask, then set the foreground color to white, select the brush tool and apply it on the noisy areas on the character's face to smooth it out.

4. Create a curve adjustment layer and adjust the red color. The parameter settings are as shown in Figure 8, and the effect is as shown in Figure 9.
