First, let’s introduce the Xi’an Ancient Capital Talent Network. The website is positioned as a local talent recruitment website in Xi’an, and its service groups are small and medium-sized enterprises and college student employment groups. The website is based in Xi'an and faces the whole country.
In the fall of 2008, I saw a piece of news online that a prefecture-level city in Shaanxi allowed public employees to resign to encourage entrepreneurship. When I saw this news, it touched me a lot, and I thought about it for a long time. It means that there is a lot of pressure now. In order to alleviate the social employment pressure, the country and the government are trying to find ways to increase jobs and drive employment through entrepreneurship, that is, Now the so-called national entrepreneurship activities are in full swing everywhere. Before, I worked for a day at a talent network in Xi'an. I am also interested in the Internet myself, although I am not a computer major (I majored in international economics and trade when I was in school). Out of my love for talent websites, I resigned from a private university and took one of my colleagues with me. At first, my colleague didn’t understand this, so I told him my ideas. In fact, I didn’t recognize my ideas at all. Haha, at that time I just felt like this industry. At my sincere invitation, my colleague embarked on the road of entrepreneurship with me. I invested more and he invested less. Because he has worries about his future.
Next, we started looking for an office building to register the company. The office building we were looking for was very high-end and in a relatively good location in Xi'an. It was in Yangyang International Plaza opposite Jiaotong University School of Medicine on Weier Street. At that time, we considered other possibilities. To carry out business, we registered the company as a trading company, because professional human resources companies need to approve pre-licenses. Since we had no background and no strength, we registered a trading company and recruited a technician, a promotion specialist and two Customer service has started operating. In order to have better operating conditions, we spent money to buy a set of programs for the Talent Network and set up a server ourselves. The total cost was tens of thousands of yuan. It was heartbreaking~~ There was nothing we could do. The website program we bought at the time supported video. Function, we are to build a video recruitment website with Xi'an characteristics - our original intention.
Because I didn’t understand programming, I hired a technician to modify the website program. Because the art of the website program I bought was terrible, it took the technician more than half a month to study the program, but he worked very diligently, every morning at 7:50 I came to work (our working hours are at 8:30 in the morning). The promotion specialist is responsible for promoting the website every day. Within a few days after arriving, he confidently told me that it would take about a week for Baidu to include it, and the result was less than a week. Baidu included it, and I held a special meeting to reward her. Her salary was increased by one hundred yuan, haha. As for customer service, I just hang around here all day long and don't make good calls to attract customers. Of course, it is unrealistic for a newly established website to attract customers, but even if I can't make money from customers, I can do promotion through telemarketing. After all, the phone is It's a monthly subscription, and you still have to pay the phone bill if you don't make a call. Telemarketing was not effective, so we started to make posters and sent business to urban villages that were relatively close to the university to put up posters. We distributed leaflets in small villages in the city center and went to provincial towns to distribute leaflets. However, the effect was not good. There were only a few people registering every day. It's pitiful. On good days there are more than 20, and on bad days no one registers for several days. In order to make it easier for me to promote the website, I learned from our promotion specialist and moved my home to the company. I had food, accommodation and office in the same place. I stayed up until 2 o'clock every day to promote the Internet and collect traffic.
Xi'an is a city with relatively rich higher education resources. Previously, some of our colleagues held campus job fairs. They mainly charged the school and then contacted the school's units. However, their center did not recruit online, so I began to plan to use campus promotion. Road, because I feel that I have more resources than him. I graduated from a private college and worked in a private college for 2 years. I was sent to recruit students every day and got to know many leaders of the college’s admissions and employment offices, so campus promotion should be feasible. So, I contacted my alma mater and negotiated about co-organizing a job fair. After all, it was my first contact. I contacted the participating units by phone and couldn’t collect the fees, so I had to do it for free. I tried to sell tickets on the day of the job fair (cooperation (Free for students of colleges and universities), and it was sold for 1,200 yuan, haha. Once a university has a successful case, there will be a second and third case, so we use cooperation with our alma mater as our success case and capital to talk about other universities. And the level of the school is gradually improving. There is a little bit of hope, haha.
The first half of 2009 was a hot time for the recruitment market in Xi'an. We took advantage of the favorable time to hold job fairs in three universities and gained a little fame. However, we only focused on economic interests and neglected to take advantage of the opportunity to promote it. Until now The daily traffic of the website is only about 10,000, and the IP is more than 3,000. I have recently summarized my experience and now share it with you. After all, I am a grassroots, and I would like to ask my seniors for advice.
1. Learn to manage
Even if there are only two people in your company, as long as they know how to manage and have systems in place. You don’t have to be technical and don’t know how to promote, but you need to be able to manage and manage employees who have skills and know how to promote and work hard and innovatively. I failed to use the system to motivate them and restrain them.
2. Think more from others’ perspective, make more arguments and save every penny.
I just didn't do this well. Originally, a better virtual host could satisfy the operation of the website. I spent more than 7,000 yuan to rent a server, and the intermediate server was always infected with Trojans, and the website data was cleared (my website just When I was a little famous), fortunately I backed it up, but the data was reduced by 7 days. I could also find a simpler office space and spend more money on the website, but at that time I just wanted to be stylish and create a better environment for employees. In winter, the heating bill was more than 2,000, so I endured it. Everyone works more comfortably.
3. Integrate resources and expand promotional channels
For example, you can cooperate with university job fairs, cooperate with university clubs on career planning activities, and cooperate with local media. If you have the ability, you can also cooperate with local portals and DM newspapers. The specifics depend on your experience. What is the method of cooperation? My method of cooperation is basically sharing resources at no cost.
4. Communicate with peers and learn more knowledge in this area
Peers are not only your competitors, but also your mentors and helpful friends. Learn more from them and discuss the development path of enterprises and websites together. There are only advantages and no disadvantages. Learn more about SEO optimization, ranking, and promotion methods, such as ADMIN5 It is a very good platform to learn in this area. Come and learn more, it is very good.
5. Compare more blank spots in the local industry, explore new markets, and provide good services to existing markets.
Compare more, compare more, think frequently, demonstrate more, start early, implement strictly, constantly summarize experience and lessons, and do a good job in customer service, because customers are the gods of wealth.
6. To run a business is to be a human being. To do things, you must first be a human being.
This is what many people with successful entrepreneurial experience say from the bottom of their hearts, and it makes sense. Success can be copied. Baidu is also copying Google's products. In some aspects, Baidu is better than Google, haha
It’s late at night, so I won’t talk anymore. I’ll save it for next time. It’s a bit confusing. I hope all seniors can log on to the Xi’an Ancient Capital Talent Network ( www.558job.cn ) to give you more advice. I’m very grateful! QQ: 593902493, welcome to communicate
