I have been building websites for many years, and I have built countless websites, but most of them gave up halfway. Today I will share my thoughts as a small grassroots webmaster with the vast number of Chinaz webmasters.
I remember the first time I built my own website was in 1999. At that time, I didn’t know anything about domain names and space. There were a lot of free things at that time, and most of us looked for a free second-level domain name. Make a few pages and put them in the space. Of course, you must put your name on each page. At that time, it was a great honor to have your own website and be able to enter an address into your browser and find your own website. At that time, building a website was not regarded as a means of survival or profit. It was just a means of survival or profit. Tools of one’s own vanity.
Fast forward to 2003. At that time, large and small websites were growing rapidly. Many people developed business opportunities and began to operate independently. Many small website owners also learned to register their own domain names and buy a small space to operate their own websites. At that time, anyone who could make a website was definitely a master, because there was no CMS at that time, and only a few simple steps were needed to build a website. At that time, it was completely up to you to modify the source code. Even the things provided for free always have several loopholes, so it is not easy to build a website. At that time, I remember that I only built a personal homepage, which was mainly a small homepage for GG’s map search software. At that time, as long as you built a website, you would get some traffic, but it was not considered a business opportunity at that time.
I really started building a website in 2005. That year I came into contact with website promotion, which is now SEO. At that stage, I had been studying SEO technology and built a slightly famous SEO website. Of course, I stopped later. , the reason for stopping was that I didn’t have the space to continue paying at that time, and I still regret closing that website. Later, I built a classified information network, an entrepreneurial network, a parenting network, a community network, and a military network. Of course, I built portal websites. I don’t know why at the time, but everyone was building portals, and I started building them accordingly. , the results are washed away in every shuffle.
Now I only have one Lepaizu (lepaizu.com) photography website. This website was not built for a long time. Now the data volume of the website is already very large. There are about 3 million pieces of information. Most people You know, if a small website can have such a large amount of data in less than a year after it was established, it must have used abnormal methods. Of course, I will not hide it from everyone. 99% of the content of my website comes from collection. Maybe I collected it. The technology is a bit higher and you can't even see it when browsing. I have really put my heart and soul into this website. I have also invested a lot from the choice of domain name to the choice of server. I would also like to point out that after so many years of building the website, I have had no income, not more than a hundred yuan in total, but my total investment has been tens of thousands of yuan.
Isn’t it very sad? As a grassroots webmaster, building a website is a kind of happiness. Sometimes it is not for making money, but building a big and good website is a kind of pursuit. My website may not be so distinctive now. I’m not very famous either. You may not be able to find me when you search for photography in search engines, but I believe that one day the grassroots will develop. I believe that my Lepaizhu Photography Network will one day surpass the well-known photography websites. . This is the voice of a grassroots webmaster like me. We will never give up and we will continue to do this. Also, I feel that the webmaster website is really a very good website, which allows us to understand the latest information on the Internet as soon as possible every day. I suggest that grassroots webmasters pay more attention to it. Thank you all!
