A few days ago, Google PR updated. The PR of the website of the company I work for rose directly from 0 to 3. In addition, several optimized keywords have achieved good rankings in less than a month, rising from outside the top 100 to the top 10 on Baidu; website traffic has also increased nearly three times.
Since I am not an SEO professional myself, I have never participated in training from any SEO organization before. I only occasionally read articles written by famous experts. It can be said that I am a complete layman when it comes to SEO. The SEO content I did for the company I served this time was only part of the entire network planning. It can also be regarded as my first practice of SEO. Therefore, this kind of achievement, which is not considered an achievement in the eyes of experts, still makes me feel a little happy.
I happened to listen to Mr. Wang Tong’s lecture last night, and I felt the same way with a few words, such as “SEO is very easy.” “SEO should be used as a tool and a means.” etc. So I decided to write this article and talk about the pseudo-technology of SEO.
In fact, in less than a month, I have only done two aspects of work in terms of SEO.
1.Exchange friendly links
I don’t need to say more about the importance of friendly links. We should know that there are friendly links at the bottom of almost every website. Since others are doing it, it must be effective, so we need to do the same. People who work on the Internet are a group of very smart people, and no one will do anything that has no effect.
The target websites I selected for exchanging friendly links all have PR ≥ 3, and most of them are websites from the same industry. I won’t explain the reason, but I’ll just talk about the tips on why a website with a PR of 0 can be changed to PR3 or even PR5 or PR6.
The first is mentality. Some friends think that their website is still new and has a low weight. If they exchange links with a website with a high weight, they will first be at a disadvantage in terms of momentum, let alone exchange. In fact, this is not the case. If many highly weighted sites exchange links with a new site, it will have no impact on the site itself. In addition, on the Internet, the more expert you are, the more you know how to pay, so as long as you dare to communicate with him, the probability of success is very high.
The second is persistence. Exchanging friendly links is an ongoing process, especially for new sites. So you should treat it as a task and spend a certain amount of time every day to communicate with the webmaster of the target website. Even if you can only exchange one piece a day, you can exchange 10 pieces in 10 days. In addition, we must have a shameless spirit. The weight of our new site is too low. It is normal to be rejected when talking about friend links with sites with high weight, so don’t give up just because you failed after a few talks. There are so many websites on the entire Internet. If you can't talk about this site, just find the next one and continue talking.
The third is tips. There are many tricks, let me talk about a few that I have used. Since the company website I serve is an e-commerce website owned by a very famous local entity enterprise, I mainly look for a large number of local websites to exchange with in the early stage. When communicating, I focus on the entity enterprise, and finally mention the e-commerce site to be exchanged. Based on the local influence of the company's entities, many webmasters may be very optimistic about the future of our website, or they may also want to bring some traffic to their website through our website. The probability of success is very high. Later, communicate with webmasters from other places. During the communication, focus on emphasizing that I found your site through a well-known website or directly say that I was introduced by a well-known webmaster. The other webmaster may take a look at the well-known website. They also exchanged with us, so they agreed to the exchange.
In addition, some previous webmaster connections also played a big role.
Exchanging friendly links is actually a very interesting process. In the process of exchanging links, it not only increases the weight of the website, but also accumulates a large amount of webmaster resources. Why not?
2. Increase external links.
I won’t go into details on how to select main keywords and long-tail keywords. I will just talk about what I personally think is the importance of keyword selection. Since our entire network planning also includes the promotion of "Baidu Knows", and Baidu Knows that it is difficult to leave a website link, we selected the most important keyword in the website name and made this keyword available in searches such as Baidu Engine number one. Firstly, it can establish its brand status, and secondly, it can focus on promoting the keyword on Baidu and guide customers to search on Baidu, thus intercepting a large amount of traffic through Baidu.
As for increasing external links, I think there are two most important points.
The first is the collection of external link resources. When it comes to external link resources, many friends know that they are nothing more than forum signatures, blog messages, etc. Indeed. My method of collecting resources is also very simple, which is to study the external links of competitors and sort out the places where competitors do external links. Where they go to do it, we do it too. The advantage of this is that you don’t need to explore it yourself. Since our competitors have already succeeded here, it means that we can also succeed here. Another advantage of collecting and organizing resources is that when we are preparing to build the next website, we can use them directly. The average webmaster usually has more than one website.
The second is perseverance. I asked my colleagues who work on external links to send about 30 external links every day to the keywords we focus on optimizing, without interruption every day. As we all know, SEO is a long-term and continuous work. It cannot be done once and for all, nor can it be effective all at once. After a period of hard work, several keywords I optimized have achieved good rankings, and two of them have achieved results within a week.
To sum up, whether it is SEO or online promotion through other channels, the most important thing is resources and persistence! This is an eternal topic. I once saw an article written by a webmaster, saying that the difference between novices and veterans is the difference in resources, including network resources, account resources, information resources, including SEO external link resources, etc. The difference between winners and losers is whether they can persist. Whether you can persist in doing simple things is also a common topic.
Of course, what I mentioned above is just scratching the surface. The real SEO technology is much more than that. However, we can completely ignore the search engine ranking rules and algorithms. No matter how its algorithm rules change, we You only need to implement the experience and methods summarized by predecessors, and the results and rankings are the key to ultimately determining whether you understand SEO or not.
At this point, we can definitely conclude: SEO is a pseudo-technology that does not require any technical content. As long as you are not the person who says "I don't know what SEO is, I only know CEO", you can do it. Good SEO.
