Hazy colors are relatively more artistic, but the colors are more difficult to control. In fact, hazy coloring also requires skills. The most critical part is to brighten the color of the dark parts, so that you can quickly create a hazy effect.
1. Open the original image material, press Ctrl + J to copy the background layer, change the blending mode to "Screen", and the opacity to: 20%, the effect is as shown below. This step slightly brightens the image.
2. Create a new layer, press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to stamp the layer, and slightly buff the character's skin.
3. Create an optional color adjustment layer and adjust yellow, green, white, and black. This step changes the color of the background to cyan and adds orange to the highlights.
4. Use a pen to cut out the lips of the character, convert it to a selection and feather 1 pixel, then create a color balance adjustment layer, adjust the shadows, midtones, and highlights. After confirmation, change the layer opacity to: 70% . This step makes the lips a little darker.
5. Call up the current layer mask selection, which is the lip selection, and create a curve adjustment layer to adjust the RGB and blue. This step slightly deepens the lip color.
6. Press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + 2 to bring up the highlight selection, and press Ctrl + Shift + I to invert the selection. Create a new layer filled with cyan blue: #77B9E4, change the opacity to: 50%, add a layer mask, and use a black brush to slightly erase the character's face. This step adds haziness to the image.
7. Create a Curves adjustment layer and adjust the red and blue. This step adds an orange-red color to the skin tone.
8. Create a curve adjustment layer again, adjust the red and blue colors, fill the mask with black after confirmation, and use a white brush to erase the character's face. This step adds red to the character's face.
9. Press Ctrl + J to duplicate the current Curves adjustment layer to enhance the color of the face.
10. Create a color balance adjustment layer and adjust the shadows and highlights. This step adds blue to the shadows and highlights.
11. Create an optional color adjustment layer and adjust the red, yellow, and white. This step increases the brightness of the red color.
12. Create a new layer and fill it with cyan blue: #77B9E4. Change the blending mode to "Screen" and the opacity to: 30%. After confirmation, add a layer mask and use a black brush with lower transparency to paint the character's face. Wipe it out.
13. Create a brightness/contrast adjustment layer to appropriately increase the contrast of the image.
Finally, fine-tune the colors and details to complete the final effect.
