The text effects in this tutorial are designed very cleverly, and the texture part is basically done using filters. It seems that the author is very familiar with filters. Therefore, we must have a certain understanding of commonly used filters before making them, so that we can use them flexibly when designing effects.
final effect
1. Create a new document of 1024x768 pixels with a white background, press D to restore the default color, go to Filter > Render > Clouds.
2. Fill the new layer with black and add a layer style.
3. Set the layer mode to color filter and set the opacity to about 60%. The effect is as follows.
4. Enter text with black foreground color and select bold font.
5. Add layer style.
6. Merge all layers, including the background, and go to Filter>Texture>Stained Glass.
7. Use the X key to change colors, Filter>Sketch>Copy.
8. Filter>Texture>Cracks.
9. We can see that the stone font effect has basically come out. Fill the new layer with black, apply the cloud filter, and change the layer mode to Overlay.
10. Filter>Sketch>Chrome Yellow.
You can use a brush to add some color to the text to complete the final effect.
