DB is neutral gray dermabrasion. This tutorial briefly introduces the basic process of retouching using this method. Although the introduction is relatively simple, the basic steps are explained, which is the most important in photo retouching. If you can master this method well, future photo retouching will be very simple.

PSD is divided into: 5 groups, rough editing, DB, color correction (this group is for finishing), finishing (this group is for color correction), final finishing and sharpening (because I didn’t pay attention when editing the group, for everyone’s convenience, I didn’t change the name when I uploaded it. The color grading group is sorting, and the sorting group is color grading. Don’t read it wrong~)
1. Rough editing: This step is mainly to deal with the plates and hair on the skin of the original image. It can be done with a stamp or repair brush.
-
2. DB retouching: Create a new 50% neutral gray layer, use a white or black soft-angle brush to correct the patches and light sources on the skin, change the mode to "soft light", the size of the brush and the canvas scaling should be based on the specific situation. It depends on the part of the picture that needs to be retouched. This method is also called neutral gray retouching.
Advanced finishing: Create a new 50% neutral gray layer, use a white or black soft-angle brush to correct the patches and light and shadow on the skin, and change the mode to "Soft Light".
The effect after application is as follows:
Many people ask me why I can't wipe it clean. Here's how I solve it. One is that your observer must be set correctly, that is, you must adjust the excessive black and white at any time to see the observation layer. The other is that you are not wiping carefully. There is no difference. Clean, this requires patience. The third problem is the flow setting of the brush. The flow rate is not fixed. The flow rate should be changed according to the areas that need to be repaired on the screen. It should be between 5% and 15%.
Color adjustment: This depends on personal preference. I made this a little brighter. You can use the color tool on the adjustment layer.
5. Organize and sharpen: I use USM sharpening for sharpening. The value depends on the original image. When sorting, I will adjust it again based on the effect of the previous image. I will also adjust the areas that I feel are not good, and also use neutral gray. diagram method.
