Source: Photo Processing Network Author: Lilac Kongjie When we see a picture with a color cast, we first need to know where the problem is. You can view it through the histogram, or you can view it through the channel. Let’s briefly talk about using the channel to compare the color of the reddish photo. Original picture
final effect
1. Open the original image material and enter the channel panel. We find that the red channel of this image is obviously damaged. Therefore, the red channel must be repaired first. Click the Create a new fill or adjustment layer button on the layer panel, select "Channel Mixer", and adjust the red channel and green channel respectively. The parameters are as follows.
After this step is completed, we can see that the reddish photo has been basically corrected. But the picture is a bit purple and lacks saturation.
2. Use Curves, Selective Color, and Hue/Saturation adjustment layers to further adjust the color. The values are shown in Figure 4-6 below.
After the above few steps of adjustment, the color is generally normal. Some parts of the baby's head are a little too red. You can use curves to fine-tune it, and use a black brush to erase the areas that are not reddish, as shown in Figure 7.
3. Create a new layer and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to stamp the layer. Use the Topaz filter to sharpen it. Then press Ctrl + J to duplicate the two layers to get "Layer 1 Copy" and "Layer 1 Copy 2".
Change the "Layer 1 Copy" blending mode to "Soft Light" to increase the layer's layering. Then change the blending mode of the "Layer 1 Copy 2" layer to "Screen", change the opacity to: 20%, and brighten the image.
Finally, I feel that the skin tone is still not rosy enough, so I create a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer and increase the saturation appropriately to 12. After confirmation, create an optional color adjustment layer and customize the parameters.
