Use the cloud filter to create a cloud effect, then change the layer blending mode appropriately to get a smoke-like effect, and then use a mask or eraser to erase the unnecessary parts. 1. Open the original image material.
2. Press the letter "D" to restore the front and background colors to the default black and white. Create a new layer and execute: Filter > Render > Clouds. The effect is as shown below.
3. Change the blending mode of the cloud layer to "Screen" and the fill to: 71%. Then we can see the smoke effect, as shown below. However, it is not natural enough and needs further adjustment.
4. Use the eraser tool to erase the unnecessary fog, and then adjust the color and contrast of the background appropriately. It will look a bit like a morning fog effect.
