This tutorial introduces how to colorize light green pictures. The general process: first process the background, slightly increase the brightness, and then change the main color to light green. Then slowly beautify the character parts, so that the overall look is fresh and sweet.
>1. Open the original image material, create an optional color adjustment layer, and adjust the yellow, green, white, and black. This step changes the color of the grass part to light green and adds purple to the dark part.
2. Press Ctrl + J to duplicate the currently selected color adjustment layer and enhance the light green color.
3. Create a Curves adjustment layer and adjust the red, green, and blue. This step adds some light yellow to the light green background.
4. Create a curve adjustment layer again, adjust the RGB and red, fill the mask with black after confirmation, and use a white brush to erase the character's face. This step makes the skin tone slightly rosy.
5. Create a color balance adjustment layer, adjust the shadows, midtones, and highlights. After confirmation, change the layer opacity to: 30%. This step fine-tunes the color of the shadows and highlights.
6. Create a new layer and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to stamp the layer. Simply polish the character's skin and fine-tune the background color.
7. Create a new layer, fill it with light green: #C8EC9F, change the blending mode to "Screen", hold down the Alt key to add a layer mask, and use a white brush to erase the top. This step increases the highlights of the picture.
8. Create a brightness/contrast adjustment layer to appropriately increase the contrast of the image. The parameter settings are as shown in Figure 20. After confirmation, use a black brush to erase part of the character's skirt, and then change the opacity to: 50%
9. Create an optional color adjustment layer, adjust the red color, and then change the layer opacity to: 50%. This step adds red color to the image.
10. Create a color balance adjustment layer. Adjust the shadows and highlights. This step adds a light red color to the highlights.
Finally touch up the details to complete the final effect.
