The infrared effect is a more classic image processing method. There may be some differences in the processing process, but the first few steps are basically the same: first, you need to invert the image, and then change the layer blending mode to create a highlight contrast image effect. Later, you can adjust the effect to different colors according to your own preferences.

Open the photo to be processed in photoshop. I'm using CS5, you can use any version above CS2. First copy the layer, "Layer" - "New" - "Layer via copy", or use the shortcut key Ctrl + J. Then use the shortcut Ctrl + I to reverse the photo.
2. Change the layer’s blending mode to “Color”. The photo should have orange and blue tones after the operation.
Select "Layer" - "New Adjustment Layer" - "Channel Mixer". In the Channel Mixer, first select the output channel as red, then pull the red slider to 0 and the blue slider to +100. Then select the output channel blue and do the opposite, pulling the red slider to +100 and the blue slider to 0.

4. This step will vary greatly depending on the photo you choose. We need to change the pink/red color to white/yellow. We can achieve this in the Hue/Saturation panel.
Select "Layer" - "New Adjustment Layer" - "Hue/Saturation". Select the "Red" channel and reduce the saturation to almost gray. Next, move the Hue slider until you see some yellow. You can try adjusting other channels to get the best results.
Select "Layer" - "New Adjustment Layer" - "Photo Filter", select "Cooling Filter (LBB)", and I choose 23% for the concentration.
6. In the final step, I created a new layer and applied Image (Image - Apply Image), then blurred the water to make it look more like a long exposure.
