Today, little girl showed me a picture and asked me how to cut it out with photoshop. I think the biggest key to cutout is how to combine it with the new background image after cutout, and how to make the cutout image look harmonious in the synthesized image. This is the most important thing.
Since you agreed to help, you have to give some opinions more or less.
The original picture provided is as follows. The size of this picture is small and the quality is not very good. It is indeed a bit difficult to make. I'm not very good at picking it out either, so I'm just giving you some ideas.
After looking at the original image, I used the commonly used channel method. As a result, the gradient of the background was difficult to process. I don't know if this image has been processed or if it is the result of the original photo. However, after seeing that the gradient transition of this background was too regular, I thought I might as well make a gradient too.
Of course, this gradient is naturally unavailable, so I changed the layer blending mode of this gradient layer to: Soft Light.
Careful people will find: Has the shadow transition effect of the background been greatly reduced? My gradient is not good enough. You can try again. Maybe there are better results.
So I used the pen tool to select all the places where the edges were smooth.
After creating a selection on the path selected with the pen tool, make a copy of the red channel in the channel springboard.
and fill the selection with black
After canceling the selection, I then used the brightness/contrast command on the "red copy" in the channel. The adjustment results are as shown in the picture below.
Hold down the Ctrl key and click the "Red Copy" channel to load the selection and return to the layer palette. At this time, the content in the selection is the cutout effect.
Since the original image has a pink effect, before compositing, the red color can be reduced, so that when the characters are taken out bare, they will not be so dazzling.
The above are just some of my own thoughts on cutting out this image. The above methods may only be used for this image and are not representative at all. When you encounter specific images, you need to analyze them in detail.
