This tutorial introduces the creation of beautiful paper-cut lettering effects. Before production, you need to select some special fonts or graphics, and then add layer styles. You need to add an appropriate gradient color, select the gradient method as angle, and finally add a good-looking background effect. The reference pictures provided in the tutorial are in English, so you can check them in Chinese.
final effect
1. Press CTRL+N to create a new background document with a size of 600*200px and white color.
2. Next we need to create a gradient background. Press the D key to reset the foreground color (black) and background color (white); 1 - Select the gradient tool; 2 - Click the black and white gradient position on the gradient toolbar, so that the gradient editing window will appear.
3. Change the position of the color scale and create a new white color scale on the gradient editor as shown in the figure. Click the New button in the figure and add a name to the custom gradient. The name here is Papercraft, and the new gradient will appear. On the gradient preset.
4. Select the gradient tool, select the gradient we just customized (2), and select the angle gradient (3).
5. Hold down the SHIFT key and drag a gradient color from left to right on the background layer.
6. Now you should see the effect.
7. Enter text. The font used in this tutorial is D IS CO DECK, the size is 150px, and it is sharp. Set the foreground color to white (press the X key to swap the foreground color and background color); select the text tool and enter a capital letter C on the background layer.
8. Continue to enter other English capital letters, namely: RAFT; note that each letter is a layer.
9. Next, we need to arrange each letter side by side, select the move tool, and check Automatically select layers on the toolbar, so that we can move each text layer directly on the canvas without selecting the text. Layers can be moved.
10. Create and apply a layer style, select the letter C layer, click the fx icon at the bottom of the layers panel, and select Gradient Overlay.
11. The gradient overlay settings are as follows: blending mode: normal, gradient to the gradient color we just customized, Papercraft, style: angle.
