I don’t know if everyone has a thorough understanding of curves. When I first learned it, I found it difficult. The descriptions in the tutorials were not easy to understand. I also studied it for a long time. Fortunately, I finally mastered curves. The main function is to adjust the hue of the image, including adjusting individual color channels and comprehensive RGB channels. The color level command also has this function, but the curve can be more precise (the so-called hue can be understood as referring to the image's highlights, shadows, midtones). Closer to home, what I want to explain here is the adjustment direction of the curve.
The example adjusts the RGB channel. You can expand it to adjust individual channels. The principle is the same. It is not the points on the curve that control the image, but the entire shape of the curve that controls the image.
Look at the picture
This picture shows a control point in the middle of the curve, and then pulls it up.
This is to put a control point on the middle point of the curve, and then pull it to the left. The effect is basically the same as the picture above.
It can also be proved that it is not the control points on the curve that control the image, but the shape of the curve that controls the image. Pay attention to the two pictures. The curvature shape of the curves is roughly the same.
