final effect
1. Create a new canvas. The size can be set according to the computer configuration, but it is better to be smaller.
2. Launch the pen tool and create a new path to draw the outline of the jar.
3. Use the pen tool again and create a new path to draw the highlight area of the jar.
4. Create a selection and fill it with green. I marked the highlight area (I found that the can was black, but later I found out it was green~)
5. Do you feel that the tones produced by using the burn and dodge tool are not what you want? In fact, there is another way to express light and dark, and that is the texture overlay method, which I invented to save trouble. A highlight path will be used to create a selection and fill it as shown:
The three highlight points are separately filled with white. And adjust the transparency. Although they are all high-gloss, there are differences~ So the transparency is different. As for how transparent it is, you can control it yourself.
6. Fade the lower half of highlight 3 to fully transparent, add a layer mask to the highlight 3 layer, restore the front and rear background colors to black and white, and use the gradient tool to pull it.
This method is very practical. It is widely used. Try it more.
7. Add a bevel relief effect to the jar
