This is a very simple tutorial on 3D text effects, and it can also give you some understanding of Xara3D.

The following is the production process :
1. Enter text in Xara3D. It is worth noting that Xara3D 6.0 is used here ( click here for high-speed download ). Click on the text option, press CTRL+A to delete the existing text, then write the letter T, select the font you want according to your preference, and finally press OK.

2. Now let’s slightly increase the size of the letter T. The settings are as follows: (1) Click the text button in the toolbar to close the surrounding circle. (2) Click on the boldface to make the letters larger. (3) Click the Show/Hide Light button so that the arrow looks like below, (4) Click the Bevel option to change the default setting of bevel.

3. (1) Changing the shape of the bevel to "winding" is to add a little relief effect. (2) Click on the circle to make the shape of the corners more rounded. (3) Change the depth to 10 to make the relief look softer.

4. Now we start to consider the light perception and 3D effects. Click the mouse on the letter position shown in the picture below and move it to achieve the 3D effect you want. If necessary, you can move the arrow to get a better, smoother look.

5. Okay, we have completed the letters we want in Xara3D, now let us enter the letters into photoshop. Click File>Export or CTRL+SHIFT+E to get the exported image. Select the location where the image will be stored, and then check whether the settings are as shown below. The option is set to "Transparent" and the file type is set to PNG. Finish each letter like this, changing the 3D effect until you are satisfied. I ended up with 4 png files, they were T, Y, P, E.

6. Create a new document, name it TYPE, and have a size of 1000×750 pixels. Open document T in photoshop, press CTRL+A to select all, then CTRL+C, open document TYPE and press CTRL+V to paste in. Hold down CTRL+T to adjust the size of the letter, and hold down ALT+SHIFT at the same time to adjust it proportionally with the center, and rotate it to get a nice effect.

7. Repeat step 6 for all four letter documents until you get an effect like Figure 7.

8. Now let's add some background to make it look more dynamic. Click on the background layer, press G to select the Gradient Tool, click on Radial Gradient, and then double-click on Gradient Edit to get the Gradient Editor. Select the gradient mode from foreground to background, the foreground color is #f8b1d7, and the background color is #8871a1. The settings are as shown in the two pictures below.
