When it comes to how to express glass texture, people often first think of design tools such as 3DMAX and MAYA. Few people consider graphic design tools like Photoshop. In fact, you only need to grasp the shape of the object and the transparency texture of the layer. It can completely simulate the effect achieved by three-dimensional graphics tools, but the only difference is that the pictures produced by Photoshop cannot switch the perspective (because the pictures are purely two-dimensional works). For most friends who are not familiar with 3D graphic design tools, it is relatively simple to use graphic design software to copy 3D designs. Next, we will use Photoshop's Path, Mask, Layer and other tools to conduct experiments. The target is a goblet in the picture below. It looks exquisite and clear, and the reflection and transparent texture of the glass are very good. In fact, it is a pure Photoshop production. How about the pictures? Are you tempted? final renderings
1. Before starting to design, we need to analyze the wine glass and distinguish which layers are at the bottom and which layers are on top. The bottom layer is naturally the background, because here we need to show the transparency of the wine glass and put a picture with undulating colors. But in order for everyone to see it more clearly, we only made a single-color gradient background. . Next, you need to use Photoshop's Path tool to outline the bottom layer of the wine glass.
2. That is the dark part, because the highlight points of the light part need to be covered on it. For the effect, please see picture 001. Use Pen tool (Pen tool) 003) Photoshop mouse painting realistic wine glass to outline the outline of the wine glass. After pressing the Ctrl key + left mouse button in the Path panel, click the outlined Path outline, convert it into a selection area and then Create a new layer in the Layers panel and fill it with color. We can fill it with black or dark gray. Next, you need to draw the inner wall of the cup.
3. Here you need to use the Radial Gradrent (radial gradient tool) to drag out a gradient from light blue to dark blue. Of course, this color should be slightly brighter than the dark bottom layer just sketched, otherwise there will be no contrast at all. , remember that you need to create a new layer before making the gradient, please see picture 003 for the effect. Let's start with the top mouth of the cup. First, select the elliptical selection tool in the tool bar, then click the View menu in the menu bar, and select Show Rulers in the drop-down menu (show rulers/shortcut key is Ctr+R). Click and hold the position before 0 degrees in the upper left corner of the ruler and drag the XY axis coordinate line. Find the intersection point between the top of the cup mouth and the leftmost corner of the cup mouth. Release the mouse but do not move it. Then click and drag out an ellipse tool. A suitable elliptical selection area.
4. The mouth of the cup is composed of a circle of highlights and a circle of dark colors. Then we only need to use the ellipse selection area just now to stroke it twice. First, create a new layer and select a brighter light blue as the foreground color. Color, then click Edit on the menu bar, select Stroke in the drop-down menu, set the width of the edge to 1 in the pop-up panel, set the mode to normal, and set the transparency to 100%, and set Click OK when finished. Click the small triangle in the upper right corner of the layer panel and select Duplicate Layer in the pop-up menu. Then two layers with cup rim highlights will appear. Use the mouse to select the upper layer. Select the first radio button Lock Transparent Pixels in the Lock option on the layer panel, select the foreground color as dark blue, then click the Edit item in the menu bar, and select Fill in the drop-down menu bar ), then the fill adjustment panel will pop up. Select ForegroundColor (foreground color) for the fill object, set the mode to normal transparency to 100%, and click OK to confirm. Switch to the Move Tool in the toolbar and use the down cursor key ↓ on the keyboard to move a pixel. At this time, you will find that a prototype of a cup appears on the screen. Next, we need to outline a large number of highlights of the cup. with reflection. First use the Pen Tool to outline the center highlight of the side of the cup facing us. The color needs to be a very light blue. The transparency of the layer is about 15%~20%, depending on personal preference (select to adjust of the layer, drag the Opacity slider on the Layers panel). Follow the above method to create highlights on the inner wall of the cup. For the effect, please see Picture 005.
