Let’s take a look at the finished product first.
In this case and subsequent examples, for the convenience of description, we stipulate that the first picture that appears is "Picture A", and the second picture that appears is "Picture B".
The first step in image synthesis: image selection and cutting
In the synthesis process, we usually need a certain part of several pictures, so the selection of images is inevitable. There are many commonly used selection methods (magic wand, marquee tool, lasso tool, and the color range command in the selection menu). The magic wand tool is more suitable for selecting blocks of pigments, and the marquee tool is more suitable for framing rules. The lasso tool is the opposite and is used to select irregular shapes. Below we introduce the use of the color range command to select the waterfall. First activate "Picture B", execute the "Color Range" command in the selection menu, select the "Image" radio button, click the white part of the waterfall with a straw, and then select the "Select Range" radio button to adjust the color range. Difference, so that most of the waterfall is selected, click OK to complete the first step of selection. (As shown in the picture)
Through the previous step, you have completed the selection of most areas of the image, but you are not satisfied yet. While holding down the SHIFT key, use the Lasso tool to select the unselected part on the right side of the waterfall (this step is to increase the selection area of the waterfall) , while holding down the ALT key, use the Lasso tool to select the left part of the waterfall to reduce the selection area.
This step actually doesn't require much skill, but it does require your patience and care.
The second step of image synthesis: Create layers
To process a slightly more complex image, you usually need to create several layers. Below you will personally experience the endless benefits that layers bring to us. Use the move tool to drag the selected waterfall to the appropriate part of "Picture A", as shown in the picture.
