This Photoshop tutorial mainly introduces how to modify a real photo of a girl into a hand-painted effect, using filters, masks, brushes and other functions.
First, let’s take a look at the original image, as follows:
Here is the final rendering:
Next, start preparing to modify the image.
1. Open the original image material and increase the proportion of the material image to a larger size appropriately.
2. First, smooth the skin on the character, copy the background layer, and execute: Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur. The value is 6-8. After confirming, hold down the Alt key and add a layer mask, and then paint with a white brush. There are spots on the face and skin.
3. Now start processing the character’s eyes. Create 3 new layers. Adjust the pixels of the brush to 4 and the opacity to 100%. Select the pen tool to draw a line below the double eyelids (I regard the double eyelids as 3 lines. From top to bottom, the black line is 2 pixels, the white line is 4 pixels, and the black line is 4 pixels). Gaussian > Blur 0.5, then draw the white line with the same Gaussian blur 0.5 and finally draw the black line above. After drawing, adjust the opacity of the three lines to make them look less stiff.
4. Create a new layer and use the Ellipse Tool to draw a circle the size of an eyeball. Right-click and stroke 1 pixel. Switch to the character layer and use the Smudge Tool to smear the eyeball. Create another layer, use a white brush to draw the highlights of the eyeballs, and then use the Dodge Tool to whiten the whites of the eyes.
