1 Use paths to draw the shape below.
2 Create a new layer, turn the path into a selection, and fill it with white.
3 Feather the selected area by 10 pixels and then delete it, as shown below.
4 Duplicate a layer, CTRL+T, rotate the angle of the picture below, and scale the picture by 80%.
5 Select shift+ctrl+alt+t and copy repeatedly to form the following shape.
6. Link all the "wings" except the black background and choose the Merge Linked Layers command from the Layers menu.
