This Photoshop tutorial mainly introduces how to use calculation methods to calculate the selected area you want and then adjust the brightness to make the skin look more crystal clear.
First, let’s take a look at the comparison between the original image and the effect:

First, let’s test it with the general color correction method to see if it works. First, we use our most commonly used color levels to brighten the picture. The effect is either gray or the details are seriously lost, and the curves also fail to achieve the effect.
1. Now we use calculation method to calculate the selected area we want and then adjust the brightness to make the skin look more transparent, image-calculation.
2. Observe the original image and find that the middle color of the character's skin color is mostly red, so use the red channel and gray to calculate: pay attention to check the invert behind the gray, and the mode: Multiply.
3. Observe the calculated Alpha1 channel. You will see that the highlight part of the face is darker, which is exactly the selection we want.
