This tutorial introduces how to make metal gears. The difficulty in production lies in the shape and texture of the gear. When making it, the author used rectangle copying and changing angles to create a gear with square corners. Then he blurred and adjusted the color level to get a rounded rectangle. The production method is very professional and saves the time of manual cutting out. The texture part is basically done using layer styles.
