Before making effects, it is best to find some smoother handwriting fonts to install. The text typed in this way will be smoother and the overall effect will be much more vivid. In case you don’t have these fonts, you can use the pen tool to draw some smooth text paths, and then create the effect.

1. Create a new 800 * 600 pixel file, fill the background with black, create a new layer, and use the pen tool to outline a set of connected letter paths. You can also download some handwriting fonts, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Set the foreground color to white, select the brush tool, set the brush size to 10 pixels, and the opacity to: 100%.

3. Select the pen tool, right-click on the path, and select "Stroke Path", as shown in Figure 3. Select the Brush Tool in the pop-up menu, as shown in Figure 4, and then confirm. The effect is as shown in Figure 5.

4. Lock the text layer, as shown in Figure 6.

5. Select the gradient tool, select the rainbow gradient color, and pull out the linear gradient shown in Figure 7.
