Last time I introduced the details of enhancing web design in Photoshop, many friends felt that I didn't talk enough, and some friends wanted to know how to create some special text effects in Photoshop. In fact, in current web design, there are not many commonly used text effects, and the implementation methods are also very simple. So I hope the following content will be helpful to novices in web design.
This tutorial of mine will focus on 2 keywords: "gradient" and "shadow".
1. Words with more texture
Let’s first look at the LOGO in the picture. It looks more textured. The text stretches outwards and is not rigidly attached to the web page. If you look carefully, you will easily find that brightkite uses color “gradients” for the text. .Yes, the color of the text is not a single color fill, but a "gradient". Why does the "gradient" look more textured? This is because it simulates the effect of natural lighting, that is, the highlight part is above the text , and the low light is below. At the same time, don’t ignore another detail, which is the “shadow” of the text.
So how to do it?
Pay attention to numbers 2 and 3 in the picture. If you still don’t know how to add a gradient, please double-click the blank space to the right of “Layer Name” in the layer panel, or click the second button in the picture below (in the layer panel below) to open the Styles panel.
"Gradient Overlay", and then set as shown below. For the gradient color, choose two colors of the same color but with "dark and light contrast". For example, in the example, a light green and a dark green. This can simulate the lighting effect.
Okay, all that's left is the shadow. Click "Shadow" on the left side of the style panel as usual, and then set it as shown below:
Let’s look at other website designs that use this method:
