In fact, 3D characters can be completed directly in PS, but it is more time-consuming. In AI, you can create monochrome three-dimensional characters with just a few simple operations. Then add a little color to the text and add some decorative materials, and the exquisite effect will come out.
final effect
1. Create a background: Create a file with a size of 750 × 550 pixels. Set the foreground color to #004B64 and background to #000000. Using the Radial Gradient Tool, drag the gradient from top to bottom.
2. Create a 3D text: Open Adobe Illustrator. Set the fill to #FFFFFF and enter your first letter in bold. I'm using Helvetica75 Bold. Create a black layer so that the white letters remain visible.
3. Select the letter and choose Effect > 3D > Extrude & Bevel. Enter the values as shown below. Click Preview so you can see how your settings will look, and adjust values in real time if necessary.
4. Enter the remaining settings as shown below. Click OK when finished.
5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 to create the remaining letters. Adjust the values in step 2b so that the letters face different directions. Select the first letter and press CTRL + C to copy it.
6. Press back to Photoshop and press Ctrl + V to paste the first letter. A prompt will appear when pasting, select the smart object. Copy and paste the rest of the letters like this.
7. Select the Magic Wand tool, click on the top surface of the first letter, and enter the setting value as shown below.
