This example mainly introduces the use of the deformation tool and the blending mode of the layer to add the effect of body painting to the characters.

Final effect:

1. First open the pattern material picture, then open the channel panel and copy the "blue copy" channel, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Select the blue copy channel, then select the "Image - Adjustment - Brightness/Contrast command in the menu bar, open the Brightness/Contrast dialog box, set the brightness to -90 and the contrast to 100, as shown in Figure 2, the effect is Figure 3 shown.

3. Select the blue copy channel, select the "Image - Adjustment - Invert" command in the menu bar, and use the color of the channel to invert black and white, as shown in Figure 4.

4. After inverting, open the brightness/contrast dialog box, set the brightness to 50 and the contrast to 100, as shown in Figure 5, and the effect is shown in Figure 6. .

5. Hold down the Ctrl key, and then click the thumbnail of the blue copy channel to load the selection of the blue copy channel, as shown in Figure 7.

6. Select the RGB channel, and then press the Ctrl+C shortcut key to copy the contents of the selection, as shown in Figure 8.
