The production of three-dimensional icons may be a bit difficult, because objects have many surfaces that receive light, so it is very important to handle light reception and reflection. It is best to define the position of the light source before making, and then paint according to the direction of the light. This way the effect will be more realistic.
final effect
1. Create a new 600 * 600 pixel file, fill the background with black, create a new layer, name it "Upper Surface", use the pen tool to outline the path shown in the picture below, and convert it into a selection.
2. Select the gradient tool, set the color as shown in Figure 2, and pull out the linear gradient shown in Figure 3.
3. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline the selection shown in Figure 4, and pull out the linear gradient color shown in Figure 5. The effect is as shown in Figure 6.
4. Use the same method to create another reflective part, as shown below.
5. Duplicate the "Top Surface" layer, use a pen to outline the selection shown in the picture below, press Ctrl + Alt + D to feather 5 pixels, press Ctrl + Shift + I to invert the selection, and press Delete to delete. After canceling the selection, lock the layer, fill it with color: #D4E036, and change the layer blending mode to "Color Dodge". The effect is as shown in Figure 9.
6. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline the selection shown in Figure 10, and fill it with white as the highlight. The effect is as shown in Figure 11.
7. Bring up the "Upper Surface" layer selection, execute: Select > Modify > Shrink, the value is 15, confirm to press Ctrl + Alt + D to feather 15 pixels, and then create a new layer fill color on the top of the layer: #CDA326, change the layer blending mode to "Color Dodge", change the layer opacity to: 60%, the effect is as shown in Figure 13.
