1. Create a new document with a size of 1000 pixels by 500 pixels, a resolution of 300pix/inche, and name it "Home".
2. We will use the earth’s texture next. Then drop it into your document as a new layer. Rename this layer to "Earth".
3. Now select: 3D > New Shape From Layer > Sphere. This will convert this texture into a sphere, which is the basis for our next work.
4. Now the earth layer is a 3D layer, and you will see a small cube icon in the layers panel. In PS, you can operate on 3D models in 3D layers. You can use 3D tools to move or rotate 3D objects.
5. Select the 3D rotation tool in the toolbar to rotate the earth to the position and angle you want. Hold down the alt key or shift key to keep the axis of rotation unchanged.
6. The edges of the earth now look very rough. Double-click the cube icon in the layers panel to bring up the 3D panel, where you can make many adjustments to the 3D layer. Make sure "Scene" is selected in the list above, then set Anti-Aliasing to Best. This will smooth out the edges.
7. Now select Global Ambient Color and set the color to R:100, G:100, B:100 and OK. This will brighten the colors around the Earth a bit.
8. Now we need to add a bump map to the surface of the earth. Select Sphere_Material in the 3D panel, click Edit Bump Map and select Load Map. Select the picture you just downloaded. We also want our earth to shine, so adjust Glossiness to 100%.
9. You can see that there are 3 light sources in the 3D panel. These are the default scene light sources of PS. Now let's change their style, color and position. Select "Infinite Light 1" and adjust its color to Color to R:150, G:150, and B:150. Select "Infinite Light 2" and adjust its style to point so that we can change its position. Adjust its color to Color to r:180, G:180, and B:180. Select "Infinite Light 3" and similarly adjust its style to point and its colors to R:130, G:130, and B:130.
