Tencent Technology News (Northbound) Beijing time, June 28, according to foreign media reports, Yahoo’s Exceptional Performance (abnormal performance) team recently released the website performance monitoring tool Boomerang.
According to reports, Boomerang is a small piece of Javascript code that users can add to their own web pages. Boomerang can measure website performance from the end user's perspective and send the data back to the server for further analysis. Boomerang can help you get a clear understanding of what users think of your site’s speed. Yahoo's abnormal performance team believes that Boomerang can help reduce service outage time.
When we launch a new website, write a blog post, or do anything else online, multiple experiences and expectations come together to give us a sense of how the website will be used. The thing is, everyone's feelings are subjective. If you are an intuitive or strong-minded person, the final result may be too harsh, or it may be a confirmation of your intuition. Boomerang wants to help you understand how users perceive your website.
Yahoo's Abnormal Performance Team lists the following monitoring tasks that Boomerang can handle:
* The perceived performance of a page - considering the time the user opens the page
* Dynamic page performance
* User bandwidth
* Component loading time
*Network delay
