Almost every SEO knows the concept of UEO. Yes, it is user experience optimization. But many SEOs don’t know how to use it as a standard for user experience on a page. ipPVUVbounce rate, these familiar terms are important indicators for UEO analysis. These indicators generally come from third-party statistical tools, so there is no need to use log viewers such as Web Log Explorer to view the logs and then perform manual analysis. Although third-party statistical tools are becoming more and more fool-proof, there are still certain tips for using them well:
Yesterday I shared with you ten points to help you better use website analysis tools (Part 1). Today I will continue my sharing from last time:
6. First understand the principle and then use it
The principle of the website statistics tool is that when a customer visits a web page, the js file of the statistics code is executed, thereby notifying the remote server, adding the visitor information to the database, and finally forming a report. The disadvantage of this is that the traffic cannot be counted without direct access. This is also the reason why statistical tools cannot count spider visits.
The principle of server logs is that when users access a web page, they will make a request to the server through the browser, and the server will record the entry request in the log. Note that when the spider crawls the web page, it will also make a request to the server, so the spider's access record can be stored in the log. But what is very tragic for logs is the user's cache. When the user opens the web page for the second time, he may not make a request to the server, but directly read the local cache. In this case, the logs that can be counted by the statistical code will not be available.
Once we understand this principle, we will be able to judge the situation when logs suddenly increase (spider crawling or collected by others), the logs do not have statistical code traffic, etc.
7. No need for different tools to do the same thing
The author has seen that many websites use cnzz, 51.la, Baidu Statistics, GA and other traffic statistics software at the same time. No matter what the purpose is, I think this is of no benefit. If you like CNZZ’s report analysis, you also like 51.la’s keyword analysis. It is okay to use two at the same time, but if it is just to detect real traffic, then it is completely unnecessary. The final statistics of each statistics are different, which means that there is no tool that can count traffic 100%, so it is completely fine to use one. The more statistical software you use, the greater the chance of slow web page loading.
8. Good at combining tools
Many friends who work in website groups may combine software such as Xiake, Chongchong, and Dark Horse, each of which performs its own duties. The same goes for website analytics tools. For example, I am accustomed to using GA as a visitor analysis tool, Web Log Explorer as a log analysis tool, and Xenu to detect website dead links and entry and exit addresses. Taking out the characteristics of each tool and combining them together will greatly improve our work efficiency.
9. Good at combining and analyzing data
Traffic statistics tools can give us reports every day or for a period of time, but have you taken out these data and analyzed them? For example, whether the customer's bounce rate has increased compared to a year ago, which type of website entrance form customers prefer now, analysis of customer behavior between 2-5 pm every Friday, etc. Another example is the data comparison between two pages of my activity. These are the focus of analysis. As long as the corresponding data is combined, the results we want are very easy to obtain.
10. Don’t follow blindly, choose what suits you best
Find the tool that works best for you when it meets your needs. Although the functions of GA and CNZZ are similar, CNZZ is more in line with the habits of Chinese people, which makes it more convenient to extract data. Although GA has more powerful functions than CNZZ, its awkward interface may not be as efficient as CNZZ. When Quantum Force Heng first came out, many webmasters replaced 51.la with Quantum Force Constant. When Baidu statistics came out, more webmasters replaced Quantum Force Constant with Baidu statistics. Don't blindly follow other people's choices, the one that suits you is the best.
After learning WA and then combining it with SEO, not only will the traces of optimization be reduced a lot, but the conversion rate of the website will be greatly improved.
I just took over the website http://www.bjgdj.com/ . I will write about the website analysis process to you later. Thank you for your support!
