Advanced blending techniques in Photoshop to create artistic text.
Let’s take a look at the effect first:
Below we will use some advanced blending techniques to create word art.
Create a new file with a size of 595×842 pixels, set the foreground color to light yellow (f5dcb9), and create a new layer 1. Execute the "Filter" → "Render" → "Clouds" command.
Execute the "Filter" → "Texture" → "Texture" command, and the dialog box will pop up as shown in the figure.
Select the Polygon Lock Tool to create a polygon selection, and press "Ctrl+Shift+I" to perform the inverse selection operation. Delete the graphics in the selection.
Select layer 1, click "Add Layer Style", select "Shadow", and the dialog box will pop up as shown in the figure.
Now we find two material pictures in the gallery and use the move tool to drag them into the working window.
Now select layer 2, click the "Add Layer Mask" button, set the foreground color to black, use the Gradient Tool to add a gradient effect to the layer 2 mask, and then use a black soft-edged brush to make some adjustments. And set the layer 2 blending mode to "Multiply".
Now select layer 3, click the "Add Layer Mask" button, set the foreground color to black, and use the gradient tool to add a gradient effect to the layer 3 mask.
Now enter text on each of the three layers.
Rasterize the "N" in the three letters.
Select the Custom Shape Tool and create a male symbol below the "N".
Open the style panel, select "web style" in the palette, and then select the style as shown.
Double-click the layer where the "N" is located in the Layers Panel to open the Layer Style Panel. Select the projection panel and modify the parameters as shown.
Right-click on layer N and select "Copy Layer Style" from the pop-up menu, then right-click on layer O and layer E respectively and select "Paste Layer Style".
Select layer N and click the "Add Layer Mask" button. Hold down the "Ctrl" key and click on the thumbnail of layer O.
Select the Lock Tool and click the "Subtract from Selection" button in the toolbar options to get the selection as shown.
Set the foreground color to black, fill the selection, and get the effect as shown below.
Open the layer style panel of layer N and select the "Blending Options" panel to set the parameters as shown in the figure.
Adjust the position of "E" as shown in the figure, and click the "Add Layer Mask" button.
Select layer E and click the "Add Layer Mask" button. Hold down the "Ctrl" key and click on the thumbnail of layer N. Select the Lock Tool, click the "Subtract from Selection" button in the toolbar options, set the foreground color to black, fill the selection, and get the effect as shown.
Create a new layer 5, select the Custom Shape Tool, create a music symbol under the "N" word, and use the Free Transform command to adjust the shape. Then copy the layer style of layer E to layer 5.
Hold down the "Ctrl" key and click on layer 5 to get a selection of musical symbols. Select the Move Tool, hold down the "Alt" key and drag the image to get a new image. Then use the Free Transform command to adjust the graphics to the effect shown in the figure.
Now copy a few more music symbols and adjust them to look like the picture below.
Now click "Create New Adjustment Layer" and select "Brightness/Contrast" in the pop-up menu, and set the pop-up menu to look like the picture below.
Now let's take a look at the final effect.
