Every April Fool's Day, young friends try to tease each other and have fun on this day. This year’s April Fool’s Day is coming soon, what good ideas have you come up with to spend this holiday? I hope that I can be like a wizard who doesn't have to go out personally. I just need to stay at home and play with the magic ball in my hand, and I can get rid of the friends I want to play tricks on. That would be wonderful! Although the wizard's magic ball does not exist, you can use PhotoShop to design one and recite a spell on it yourself. Maybe on April Fool's Day, due to various coincidences, the whole plan of silently reciting the incantation to the magic ball can really be implemented smoothly.
Imagine a wizard's magic ball. It must look very strange in appearance, different from ordinary crystal balls. Today I will introduce to you 2 design techniques of Photoshop application, and introduce two creative methods for designing magic-style balls. By learning the design methods, you will master the skills of using Photoshop tools, and you can create more styles of magic balls by analogy. .
Draw magical texture patterns with Photoshop filters
The first tip is to teach you how to use the filter function to design the inner fill pattern of the magic ball. First draw a square rectangle on the background (hold down the Shift key and use a rectangular selection box to draw), then create a new layer, select the "Cloud Layer" effect in "Rendering" under the "Filter" menu, and the effect obtained by filling is as follows Figure 2.
Figure 2
Then select the "Plastic Packaging" filter in the "Artistic Effects" of the "Filter" menu, and fill the rectangle to get the effect shown in Figure 2.
Figure 3
Next, select the "Lighten Edge" filter in "Stylize" in the "Filter" menu to get the effect shown in Figure 3.
Figure 4
Then in the layer "ㄕ駧鼍鍦铮箮骛雳?皓枓碐北京?北灘翳珳笳" as the "overlay" style (?).
Figure 5
Add dazzling color
Return to the first rectangular layer, select the "Lens Flare" filter in "Rendering" in the "Filter" menu, and set the parameters (Figure 6)
Figure 6
Merge the two rectangular layers and use the "Hue/Saturation" command in "Adjustments" under the "Image" menu to adjust the color effect of the rectangular image to make it dazzling (Figure 7).

Magical textured balls
The next step is to transform this bright rectangle into a sphere. Select the "Ocean Ripple" filter in "Distort" in the "Filter" menu, and the result is as shown in Figure 8.
Figure 8
Use the Elliptical Marquee Tool, hold down the Shift key, select a perfect circle on the rectangular image, and then select the "Spherization" filter in "Distort" in the "Filter" menu to turn the rectangle into the shape of a ball ( Figure 9).
Figure 9
Next, use the Elliptical Marquee Tool, set the Feather value to 10 pixels, select a perfect circle larger than the star on this rectangular image, and then use the "Reverse" command under the "Select" menu to select the excess pattern. Delete (Figure 10).

The light from the ball
Finally, create the light effect emitted by the magic ball. Copy a spherical copy on the layer panel, place the copy layer below the original image, use the "Radial Blur" filter in "Blur" in the "Filter" menu, set the blur amount to "100", and blur The mode is "zoom" (Figure 11).
Figure 11
Adjust the size of the two spherical images so that the light of the blurred copy of the sphere shines around the ball, just like the weird magic ball in the hand of the wizard (Figure 12).

Earlier we introduced the repeated use of various built-in filters in Photoshop to draw magic balls. Next time we will use a simpler method - directly fill the internal pattern of the magic ball with a brush to give it a magical texture.
