I prepared delicious bread for my lover that he likes but is hard to find, and prepared it for delivery in the evening. The two happened to meet each other online during the day, so you first sent him a picture of bread. Unexpectedly, someone took a bite of the bread and left the leftovers. Your friend was very angry after seeing it... It turned out that all this was just It’s an April Fool’s Day prank, but the bread is still intact, so you might as well tease him with this fun photoshop method.
Comparison of the effects before and after the bread is chewed, as shown in Figure 1.
Figure 1
Next we use Photoshop tools to "eat" this cute piggy bread. First, use Photoshop's stamp tool to "dig" a gap in the piggy bread (Picture 2).
Figure 2
Next, use Photoshop's pen tool to draw the "gnawed" tooth pattern according to the shape of the bread gap (Figure 3). Use the pen tool to first draw the edge of the upper gap. When drawing, use the pen to locate the node position of each gap. Then use the "Node Adjustment" tool of the pen tool to adjust the arc shape of each node to make it look like teeth gnawed on it (Figure 3).
Figure 3
Next, use the "Add Node" pen tool to draw the lower tooth mark gap. The drawing method is the same as the upper layer. The position of the arc is best coordinated with the upper graphic (Figure 4).
Figure 4
Select the "Load Shape into Selection" button in the "Path" panel of the layer (Figure 5), select the tooth shape you just drew, and then create a new layer filled with color.
Figure 5
After filling, the effect obtained on the layers panel is as shown in Figure 6. Then delete the shape layer drawn by the pen.
Figure 6
Next, select the newly obtained shape layer, open the layer blending panel, select the second pattern in Photoshop's default pattern in the "Pattern Overlay" option, select "Overlay" for the blending mode, and the zoom ratio is about "31%" (Figure 7 ). In this way, the bread gap effect simulated by PS is more like bread crumbs.
Figure 7
Now return to the editing interface of Photoshop, select the "Color Burn" tool, use the default tool parameters, and adjust the lightness and darkness of the color in the middle of the graphic to make it appear layered (Figure 8).
Figure 8
Then open the layer blending mode panel of this shape, select the "Shadow" effect, set its shadow "Opacity" to "10%", the angle to "90", the distance to "10" pixels, and the size to "5" pixels. (The shadow effect can be adjusted based on the selected bread image to coordinate with the shadow effect on the image). Note that you need to cancel the default "Use global light" option here (Figure 9).
Figure 9
Select the "Inner Shadow" effect in the Layer Blending Mode panel and set its parameters. The angle is "55" degrees, the blocking is "16" degrees, and the distance is "13" pixels (Figure 10). When you make it, you can also set the parameters according to the actual situation.
Figure 10
Then select the "Outer Glow" effect of the layer blending mode, set its Opacity to "100%", Expansion to "14%", and Size to "4" pixels (Figure 11).
Figure 11
Set the layer blending mode effect of the graphic, return to the Photoshop editing interface, and use the dodge tool to modify the brightness and darkness of the graphic so that its light effect is consistent with the light of the photo (Figure 12).
Figure 12
Now the bitten bread work is completed. If you feel that the shape of the teeth is not very good, you can use the eraser tool to modify the edges by erasing it. In order to completely integrate the graphics with the bread image, you need to merge the two image layers, and then use the stamp tool to modify it bit by bit so that the pattern at each position of the tooth mark can blend with the original pattern of the bread (Figure 13) . After such processing, the obvious PS lines on the edge of the tooth mark pattern can also be faded to make the chewing look more realistic.
