This article teaches you how to use Photoshop layer styles to make bracelets. As the old saying goes, following the instructions is not the purpose. It requires mastering the methods and drawing inferences from one example.
In this example, you can use different colors to make different materials and change local parameters to change the effect. For example, I used yellow and red to make an agate bracelet, and used dark yellow to make an amber bracelet. You can also change the shape and make other things.
What’s even more interesting is that you can use the psd file you created as a template. The method is: drag the graphic you want to create the same effect as in this example into the psd file, then right-click the layer with the effect and select "Copy Image" Layer Style", then right-click the dragged layer and select "Paste Layer Style" to get the effect of this example in the newly added file. You can also open the original style and change the parameters to achieve satisfactory results.
Let’s take a look at some renderings first:
Click File - New, or press ctrl+n to create a new file. Choose the name yourself, and set the width and height as needed. Here I am making a bracelet, so I will take a square of 500×500 pixels and a white background. Other parameters can be defaulted. ,Sure
Click the New Image button below the layer palette to get layer 1, as shown in the figure
Next, press the d key to set the foreground and background colors to the default black and white, and then click Filter - Render - Clouds.
Then click Select-Color Range, as shown in the picture
In the color range dialog box that pops up, use the eyedropper to click on the gray in the picture, and adjust the color tolerance to enough detail for the image display, click OK to exit, as shown in the picture
Click on the foreground color setting in the toolbox, in the pop-up dialog box, pull the color bar to the middle of the green, use the eyedropper to click on the darker green as shown in the picture, OK
Press the alt+delete keys to fill the selection with the previous scenery, as shown in the figure.
Use the mouse to pull out the reference line from the ruler (note: when it is pulled to nearly one-half of the middle, the reference line will shake a bit, then stop the mouse, which is the horizontal or vertical center line) and pull out two mutually perpendicular After drawing two reference lines that are perpendicular to each other, the center point of the image is determined, as shown in the figure.
Next, use the elliptical marquee tool to prepare for drawing in the picture.
Use the Elliptical Marquee Tool to hold down the center point, then press the shift+alt keys, and then drag the mouse to draw a circular selection with the center reference point as the center, as shown in the figure
Use the Elliptical Marquee Tool again, set Subtract from Selection (the red circle on the tool property bar) and draw a smaller circular marquee using the same method as last time. Finally, you will get a circular selection, as shown in the figure.
Press the ctrl+shift+I keys to invert the selected area, and then press the delete key to delete it to get the graphic effect. Next, we will start making layer styles.
Double-click the thumbnail of layer 1 to bring up the layer style dialog box, select Bevel and Emboss, and set various parameters as shown in the figure. All parameters are not fixed. You can observe the image and adjust it repeatedly until you are satisfied.
Then select the Glossy item, set the blending mode color block to green, and adjust the distance and size while observing the image until you are satisfied.
Set the projection options as shown in the figure
Set inner glow, and set the color block in the red circle to green
After setting the above options, return to Bevel Relief again and set the color block of shadow mode to green. Note: This step is the last step of layer style setting. Do not set it in advance, otherwise you may not get a transparent effect! (This is experience)
Click View - Clear Guides, final result
Next time we will talk about some extended examples: use this psd file as a template to make a jade rabbit.
