Many friends on the Internet have asked how to draw transparent water droplets with Photoshop. Here is a small tutorial to share with you some experience in making water droplets.

1. Open the original image in Photoshop.
2. Select a circle on the original picture, cut and copy it into a new layer, and select an appropriate airbrush to draw the edge light-receiving area.
3. When light passes through water droplets, it will be refracted, so it should be spherical.
4. Duplicate the layer, use the burn tool to appropriately deepen the backlight area, change the blending mode to "Multiply", and set the transparency to 60%.
5. Duplicate the layer downwards and use the Free Transform tool to create a shadow.
6. Adjust the brightness and contrast to darken the projection.
7. Use rubber to make the projection look more natural.
8. The perfectly round water droplets are very fake. Link the two layers of water droplets and change them freely.
9. Create a new layer and draw the reflection area at the bottom of the water droplet with just a few strokes.
10. Gaussian blur.
11. For the elliptical selection, use tools to process the edges of the light-receiving part to make it clearer.
12. Now, the basic shape of the water drop has come out, but it is still not natural enough. We merge the layers related to the shape of the water drop. Then use the Liquify filter to simply pull it a few times, and the texture of the water droplets will become much more natural.
13. Overall adjustment.
14. Copy the original image, merge the water drops with it, and select a smaller area.
15. The purpose of this is to prevent the light spots from covering the entire screen when using the "Lens Flare" filter. Now we use the Lens Flare filter to brighten the dark areas and enhance the effect.
Key points: Pay attention to the natural shape of water droplets: the characteristics of the light-receiving and back-lit areas.
Master the different light sensations of different blending modes and the use of the "Liquify Filter".
Pay attention to the flexible use of the brush tool and choose different pen shapes for different effects.
